This site belongs to Arkadiusz Wadas, who makes games as WadiDev. This page says what happens to your data when you visit pitchforkmath.com.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Arkadiusz Wadas (WadiDev), Poland. Contact: hello@pitchforkmath.com.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser.
- It has no analytics, no ads and no tracking pixels.
- It loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Everything comes from this server, except the Steam widget described below.
Server logs
Like any web server, the one that hosts this site records technical details of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the address you asked for and what your browser says about itself. I use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a working, safe website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider keeps the logs for a period it sets, then deletes or overwrites them.
If you write to me, I use your address and your message only to answer you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). I keep the correspondence for as long as the matter needs.
Who else handles the data
- SEOHOST Sp. z o.o., Poland: hosting for this site and its e-mail.
- Google: e-mail, if a message is handled through Gmail. That can mean a transfer outside the European Economic Area, covered by standard contractual clauses where they are required.
I don't sell personal data and I don't pass it on for anyone else's marketing.
Steam and video
- The home page shows Steam's own widget on larger screens. The widget loads from store.steampowered.com when you scroll near it. Valve then receives the same technical details your browser sends to any site and may use its own cookies inside the widget.
- The trailer and the short clip on the home page are files on this server. Nothing is loaded from a video site.
- Short addresses such as pitchforkmath.com/steam only pass you on to the game's page on Steam. The server logs them like any other request.
- Links to Steam and to social profiles lead to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, for correction or deletion, and for restriction of processing. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@pitchforkmath.com.
You can lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland.
Changes
If the site starts doing anything new with data, I'll update this page first.
